Photography II 2024
The objective of this project was to redesign an existing album cover, with a primary focus on photography as the central visual element and typography as a complementary component. Both elements were carefully crafted to reflect and communicate the overarching theme of the album and the identity of the artist.
Research and Exploration
By creating a mood board to explore album covers that inspired me, I discovered that I’m especially drawn to designs that feel like nostalgic time capsules imagery that captures a sense of memory, emotion, and time.
Original Cover
After exploration, I landed on Bruce Springsteen's album "Born to Run". I was very intrigued by this cover and it was a big inspiration for what direction I was going to go in with my photos.
Mood Board and Inspiration
Born to Run is a nostalgic American anthem about youth, escape, and the longing for freedom. Released in 1975, it captures the restless spirit of breaking free from small-town life in search of something bigger and more meaningful.
