The Henry 
Brand Development 
Summer 2025: Graphic Design I
The Henry is an elevated diner-style restaurant nestled in the heart of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati. It brings a modern, cleaner take to classic Midwest and Cincinnati comfort food familiar dishes made with fresh, thoughtful ingredients. At The Henry, guests can experience a family-oriented, memory-making space that feels nostalgic and always there for you. It’s the community’s go-to spot for comfort  meals at any hour, where friends and families gather around the foods they love most. For this restaurant, I created a full menu, kid's coloring sheet menu  stickers, and an Instagram account.
Mood board & Inspiration
My mood board draws inspiration from the historic small-town charm of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, combining its midwestern roots, military heritage, classic typefaces, vintage postcards, and a tried-and-true color palette to shape a modern diner concept with nostalgic touches.
Wordmark Process
I wanted the wordmark to reflect the restaurant’s core values of tradition, community, and family. I aimed for a timeless and friendly look that feels warm and personal. A signature-style handwritten script typeface felt right because it is unique, personable, and reflects the welcoming spirit of the brand.
Final Wordmark
I developed an original handwritten wordmark that reflects the brand’s warm and familiar personality. I focused on creating memorable letterforms, experimenting with the structure of the "H" and "Y" to give the wordmark distinctive features while maintaining a cohesive flow. Each stroke was refined to balance legibility with character. The result is a wordmark that feels timeless, friendly, and thoughtfully rooted in a modern interpretation of traditional design.
Final Menu Design
Branding Application
For the branding applications, I created an interactive kid’s menu with coloring and tic tac toe to bring back the nostalgic moments of waiting for food and making small memories. I also designed versatile stickers for to-go bags or personal items that serve as simple reminders of a favorite place shared with favorite people. Adding an Instagram account was important because it let me shape the feeling of The Henry and give customers a sense of its values and atmosphere before they visit and to stay connected after they visit.
