Spearhead Labs, LLC is a business consulting and technology services firm. The company provides data analytics services to a broad range of clients—including for-profit and nonprofit organizations, as well as companies in manufacturing and services. In addition, Spearhead Labs delivers centralized design services for a cut-sheet printing company that is focused on user accessibility and developing products for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Passion For Design and Accessibility
I was especially passionate about creating fun, playful greeting cards that were not only accessible to people who are visually impaired, but also considerate of those with aging eyes or declining eyesight. Everyone deserves the joy of receiving and reading a card that’s bright, loving, and legible without squinting or struggling. There’s a noticeable gap in the market when it comes to accessible yet visually engaging greeting cards, and I wanted to help fill that space with designs that prioritize clarity without sacrificing warmth or creativity.
Low Vision Greeting Cards
These cards were specific to low vision readers and visually impaired. Using appropriate color combinations that were consistent with contrast allowed a fun use of color while also staying legible. The images also are consistent with contrast and are clear and simple enough to remain legible. Font size and Type face are up to standards set by American Council of the Blind to keep readability.

A Focus on Legibility
These greeting card interiors are designed with a focus on text legibility, meeting accessibility standards in font choice, typeface, and type size. Created specifically with low-vision users in mind, each card ensures messages are clear, readable, and inclusive.
QR Code Accessibility
Qr Codes with embossing allows for low vision or visually impaired to scan the QR code with their device and have it read allowed to them or even save the date or event in their phone.
Accessible Business Cards
I designed and edited over 100+ business cards for contracted customers and businesses with custom QR codes, brail and embossing. Unfortunately due to a a non-disclosure agreement, I’m unable to share these specific samples but would love to discuss my contributions in person.
