Haiku Poem
Aesthetics II 2024
This project involved developing a three page booklet where each spread corresponds to one line of a haiku poem. It also includes a front cover that hints at the theme of the booklet and a back cover that reveals the full poem. The main goal was to convey the feeling and meaning of the poem visually.
Chosen Poem:
I write, erase, rewrite, erase again, and then a poppy blooms.
Inspiration
Fascinated and inspired by color and typography as well as use of different sized lines and angles to create texture.

Digital Drafts and Experimentation
Throughout the iteration process, I explored the concept of fragmentation—intentionally breaking apart elements of the narrative and design to experiment with structure, pacing, and emphasis. By deconstructing the content, I was able to reframe each section in a more dynamic and unexpected way, allowing for new interpretations and visual interest.
